join RipeFruit School of Creative Writing for a week-end of writing
& springtime rejuvenation in the wine country! All levels and all
genres welcome.

NAMING
OUR ROOTS
Friday: Forbidden or forgotten, we locate the veins that pulse their
charge into our writing blood

PLANTING
THE DREAM
Saturday: in early morning sunlight spread out on a vast country
lawn, we recover our bodies with an experienced yoga teacher, then
workshop our dreams and write directly from our source - our psychic
seed
- GERMINATING
a midday walk into the plum and pear orchards surrounded by early
fruit, the fertile earth, the ebullient sky; here we gather among
slender trunks and ripe spring butterflies and let the wide transcendent
world unearth our words with all its light
- WRITING
THE TREE
Crepuscular writers find their existential haven sitting around
the Renaissance Douglas Fir where, rooted and sweet, we meet the trunk
of our own creation
- BLOSSOMING
IN COMMUNITY
Saturday night: we empty ourselves of inhibitions under the guidance
of an experienced improv teacher and offer our words, libations and
wine, at a performance/reading in the theater
- REGENERATION
Sunday:
in a cathedral filled with flora & fire, the sacred moves through
us, grants us words for our future selves how to re-enter your
life and locate the stories that must be told: through music,
ancestor channeling, photos, family trees, visualization, and
the power of your senses: smell, touch, sound, taste, & sight
"your senses are your tracks back into memory"
